We all know that Christmas is the time when Jesus was born. It is the reason for the season! Tucked away in Luke’s Christmas story, there are other details I want to examine today. In this passage, there are four ways God works.
This is the most amazing event in all of history: the eternal, omnipotent, omnipresent, infinitely holy Son of God took on a human nature and lived among humanity as one who was both God and man at the same time, in one person…
John’s Christmas story reveals four grace gifts…
1. The Presence of God
2. The Glory of God
3. The Grace of God
4. The Knowledge of God
Grace. What an amazing gift! This week, we look at Romans 14 to discover how to live lives filled with grace and how to show grace to others. There are four practical guidelines to follow if you are serious about releasing others in grace.
1. Accept other believers, warts and all.
2. Refuse to dictate to others—allow the Lord to direct their lives.
3. Never assume a position we’re not qualified to fill.
4. Express our liberty wisely.
The series on Grace continues by looking at Romans 6:15-23. The big idea is Grace is a privilege to be enjoyed and protected, not a license to please ourselves.
