In the final message from Ephesians, Pastor Scott looks at the themes from the entire book, focusing specifically on Peace, Love, Faith, and Grace. Paul also demonstrates how we need each other in this life. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
In Chapter 4 of Ephesians, Paul switches from mostly talking about doctrine (right belief) to talking about duty (our responsibility). This passage discusses building the body of Christ corporately (as the church) and individually. We are to exercise our bodies if they are to grow. God has provided spiritual trainers to help.
This "Ministry Sync" sermon discusses the "Great Commandment" of loving God, others, and self. Love is the overarching purpose for every Christian's life. The priorities in the follower of Christ's life should be God, self, and others. When we apply these two commandments to our life, we see that we fall desperately short of God’s will for our lives. There is forgiveness and hope in Christ. Similarly to how we have to lean on God for strength when using our spiritual gifts, we MUST rely on the Spirit when we love God and love people.
